Ben Federico Freight believes that doing business with businesses in the Caribbean, Central America and South America is good economic sense.
Through the years that we have been forwarding freight to the region, we have made many long lasting relationships with business owners and their families. Through these relationships, we have a deeper understanding of our customers' families, lives, businesses and aspirations. This knowledge and understanding has helped us to serve our customers for decades.
U.S. manufacturers, producers and farmers do billions of dollars worth of business with companies in the Caribbean and Latin America each year. In 2012, U.S. companies exported $22.4 billion worth of energy, agricultural, food, computer and other products to the Caribbean, an increase of 13 percent since 2007.
During the same period, U.S. exports to South America from the U.S. have increased 91.5 percent to $127.6 billion in 2012; and exports to Central America have increased 48 percent to $33 billion in 2012. Combined, the exports to the region are 60 percent greater than all of the U.S. exports to China – and they are closer!
We believe it makes good economic sense for U.S. companies to develop and create markets throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. As with any new market development, there are initial challenges to establishing a presence and understanding the business landscape.
Ben Federico Freight can help you make connections in the region, as well as deliver your goods to the region cost effectively and safely, thus helping you to open new markets for your company.
